Sushil is Chair & Managing Director of Asian Hotels (West) Ltd.-owners of Hyatt Regency Mumbai and JW Marriott Aerocity New Delhi. He is the Chair of Edenpark Hotels (Qutab-Clarion). He has served as president of the Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations of India and as director on the Board of Tourism Finance Corporation of India. He has been the president of Experience India Society. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. In addition, he serves on the Board of Operation Eyesight Universal, India.

He has been a member of the Rotary Club of Delhi Midwest since 1977. He has served RI as district governor; RI training leader; committee member, vice chair, and chair; and resource group adviser. Sushil has been awarded the prestigious national award of Padma Shri by the President of India for Distinguished Service to the Tourism Industry and Social Work.
